Winter Wings: Two Poems about Birds

Many a little eye
See the shadow in the sky
And are happy to see
It passing by
But the unseen eye
Sees it come around
And stays hidden
On the ground

A little bird sits gratefully in a tree
Remembering the shelter that used to be
The food that it provided has gone away
Nothing here to eat today
But the tree feels the birds energy
And remembers what it can be
If the little bird can make it through
Once again it will see the tree anew
